Cape Peninsula University of Technology Design Day 2012
In collaboration with Frank Joubert Art School, this unique opportunity allows all grade 10, 11 and 12 learners to experience the design courses offered through the Faculty of Informatics and Design at the Cape Peninsula University. Learners will be able to choose and register for two workshops, where they will be able to interact with lecturers. These workshops allow learners to gain insight on the course, thus enabling them to make an informed decision about what they would like to study.
You can expect the following workshops to take place, however they will be confirmed closer to the time.
Graphic Design
Interior Design
Architectural Technology
Film and Video
Jewellery Design
Photography
Public Relations Management
Fashion Design
Surface Design
Industrial Design
Workshops could include the following:
Information on application process and course requirements
Example of a portfolio required for you application
Demonstrations and/or presentations on what students can be expected to do in their desired course (this is usually the fun part!)

We will greatly appreciate if you could indicate the approximate number of learners interested and which workshops they would want to partake in, this can be done via email or fax 021 469 1002. There will be a Tuck-shop open for refreshments during the short break.

ART AND DESIGN EDUCATION EXPO AT THE FRANK JOUBERT ART CENTRE
The Frank Joubert Art Centre will be hosting an Education Expo for tertiary Art and Design education institutions on Saturday 17 March.
The following institues ill be on display:
CPUT
Michaelis
U of Stellenbosh
City Varsity
Vega
Inscape Design College
These institues will be available to speak to and answer questions from students and their parents about the courses that they offer and their application requirements.
